Luke Plapp wins Australian road race national championships for seecond year in a row

The Australian rider followed Brodie Chapman who won the women's race earlier in the day. Plapp showed some of his best form in Buninyong, taking a solo win to reconsolidate his win for INEOS Grenadiers,
Plapp, Michael Matthews and Simon Clarke powered over the final climb to catch up with a few early escapees. However in the final kilometers several attacks surged, and eventually Plapp went clear inside the two final kilometers to take an impressive win. Clarke and Matthews wrapped up the podium.
