Liane Lippert takes stage 6 win at Giro d'Italia Women 2025 as Pauliena Rooijakkers raids back into podium contention

Liane Lippert has won stage 6 of the 2025 Giro d'Italia Women for Movistar Team, out sprinting Pauliena Rooijakkers in a two-woman fight for the line in Terre Roveresche.
Although she missed out on the stage, Rooijakkers will still undoubtedly be happy with her day's efforts however, catapulting right back into general classification thanks to her raid. In the GC meanwhile, Lippert's teammate Marlen Reusser retains the overall race lead, holding 16 seconds over the defending champion Elisa Longo Borghini.
With a huge finish coming tomorrow atop Monte Nerone however, things could all change around yet again in the fight for the Maglia Rosa.
