Leo Hayter's connections with
INEOS Grenadiers, being one of Great Britain's most promising talents and also the brother of Ethan Hayter, the the collaboration will officially begin on the first of August.
Hayter will be riding as a stagiaire for the British team, likely anticipating his first World Tour contract which is likely to be with the British team from 2023 onwards. He'll likely ride some of the Italian classics and other races to train racing at Elite level, whilst at the same time compete at under-23 level where he is set to battle for the Tour de l'Avenir where he'll be a big contender for the win.
Hayter is said to have been training alongside INEOS riders - including Egan Bernal - in Andorra recently. His talent in the mountains this year has become very evident, where after giving good signs in 2021 winning the U23 Liège-Bastogne-Liège he took another step to dominate the under-23 Giro d'Italia.
Having dominated the overall classification, aswell as winning two stages, Hayter then went on to take the British time-trial championship in his category, showing the versatility in which he founds his stage-racing skills on.
