World champion
Julian Alaphilippe is hopeful of being selected to the
Tour de France and he is currently training at altitude at Sierra Nevada, where Jumbo-Visma - and other teams - have spent time on before the Critérium du Dauphiné.
The ski station is situated at around 2200 meters in altitude just outside Granada, in the Spanish Andalucia. Although the sprinter block is unlikely to be using the mountains to train, the French rider will and is hoping to get his climbing legs in time for the Grand Depart in Copenhagen.
