Juan Sebastian Molano has emerged victorious on stage 5 of the 2023 Tour of Guangxi after a bunch sprint finale in Guilin.
Heading into the finale, a leading quartet of Dries De Bondt, Ryan Mullen, Frederik Wandahl and Julius van den Berg held a slim advantage over the peloton but with just over 7km to go, they were caught by the peloton and the race was all back together.
From there, another bunch sprint was all but confirmed and the battle for position at the front of the bunch commenced. In the sprint, there was once again a different winner, this time UAE Team Emirates' Juan Sebastian Molano proved the quickest on the day ahead of Olav Kooij and Tobias Lund Andresen.
