Juan Pujalte, 18-year-old Valverde Team rider, dies after training accident

The world of cycling is in mourning after the tragic news of the death of Juan Pujalte, a young talent of only 18 years old belonging to the Valverde Team - Ricardo Fuentes, originally from San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia. This Thursday, while training in the vicinity of Escombreras, in Cartagena, Pujalte suffered an accident that took his life, leaving the cycling and sports community in general shocked.

The Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia (FCRM) confirmed the devastating news, expressing its sorrow and condolences through an official statement. "With all the pain in our heart we have to report the death by accident of Juan Pujalte Martinez, member of the Murcia cycling team. The great cycling family will miss you," expressed the Federation in a message full of mourning and sadness for the death of the rider of Alejandro Valverde's team.

Juan Pujalte, born on April 22, 2005, stood out for his talent and dedication in cycling competitions. His joining the 'Valverde Team' last year, coming from Esetec-Salazones-Salazones Ricardo Fuentes, marked a crucial step in his career, showing a promising potential that pointed towards professionalism.
