INEOS Grenadiers are on the hunt in the market for their next Grand Tour star. Interest in the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic is clear, but the British team has looked to go after another big climber under a long-term contract: Juan Ayuso.
Gazzetta dello Sport's Ciro Scognamiglio reports that the Spaniard was a target for INEOS. There were talks but ultimately this was not to happen, UAE Team Emirates have signed Ayuso until 2028 and for the time being neither the team or rider are looking to go their separate ways.
