Juan Ayuso delays season start at Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana due to tendinitis

UAE Team Emirates's 20-year-old starlet Juan Ayuso was supposed to begin his 2023 campaign at the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana. That will no longer be the case however thanks to a diagnosis of tendonitis.
"Juan Ayuso should have started his season here at the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana but he suffered a bit of tendonitis, so we preferred not to rush him to race," UAE Team Emirates sports director, Marco Marcato reveals. "Juan is in a good mood and we have no doubts that he will be ready to start his season very soon.”
Ayuso of course had a breakthrough year in 2022, finishing on the podium of the Vuelta a Espana and achieving the first win of his professional career at the Circuito de Getxo, big things are expected from the young Spaniard in the coming year something that hopefully will not be affected by the delay to the start of his campaign.
