This season was filled with ups and downs for Jordi Meeus. Next season, the Belgian hopes to win his first WorldTour title and make his Tour de France debut in 2023.
Talking to Sporza, he revealed his ambitions for the next season. "My goal next season is to get my first win in the WorldTour.” He continues, “I also want to score in the classics. At BORA-Hansgrohe, in the classics, we don't have a clear leader for whom to ride. We have several horses to bet on, and I have - on paper - the fastest legs."
As a result of a corona infection in spring and a bad crash in the Tour of Poland in autumn, he was forced to pass the Vuelta a Espana. He made his grand tour debut last year with Vuelta, and now he hopes to ride in Tour de France in 2023. "I am in the pre-selection. If it is not the Tour, then I will ride the Vuelta," Meeus concluded. As the season begins, he will take part in Tour Down Under, in which he could gain his first WorldTour victory.
