The men's Velo d'Or has been voted and the winner is Jonas Vingegaard. Despite the amazing season of rivals such as Tadej Pogacar and Mathieu van der Poel, the voters were keen on the Dane's success at the Tour de France.
Vingegaard built on this Velo d'Or win for the men's category due to his second triumph at the Tour de France, but elsewhere he experienced another strong season, categorically winning the Critérium du Dauphiné and also conquering Itzulia Basque Country. After the Grand Boucle, he went on to finish second at the Vuelta a Espana where he won two stages and finished behind teammate Sepp Kuss.
