Belgian classics specialist
Jasper Stuyven is set to contest both the
Giro d'Italia and the
Tour de France in 2023, making it the first year in his career that he will ride multiple Grand Tours.
A Tour de France regular, Stuyven has ridden six of the last seven editions of the race. A stage win is still eluding him however, in fact, Stuyven has only managed to pick a single Grand Tour stage win in his 9 career three-week stage races, coming in the 2015 Vuelta a Espana, something he hopes to improve upon.
Despite picking up victories at Milan–San Remo, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne the 30-year-old Belgian has recently expressed his desire to become a more consistent winner. “I’m still hunting for a stage victory at the Tour de France," he said. "that combined with another classic win would be would be great."
