Jai Hindley still available for World Championship despite positive Coronavirus test

The reigning Giro D'Italia champion, Jai Hindley will reportedly still be available to compete for the Australian team this Sunday in the World Championship road race. This is despite the BORA - hansgrohe ride testing positive for Covid 19 last week.

It is believed that Hindley may have contracted the Coronavirus during his time in Spain riding the Vuelta, in which 10th. the third top 10 Grand Tour finish of the 26-year-olds career.

Speaking on the possibility of Hindley competing in Wollongong, BORA - hansgrohe had the following to say "The Australian national team will soon make the final decision on Jai's participation. We hope he can start at his home World Championship,"
