For the first time since being crowned winner of the 2023 Giro d'Italia,
Primoz Roglic was back in action at the
Vuelta a Burgos as he steps up preparations for the upcoming
Vuelta a Espana.
Finishing in a bunch sprint, it wasn't necessarily a day for Roglic to really showcase himself, instead the key being to safely navigate his way though and stay upright. "It's nice to be back in the peloton," he told the official website of his
Jumbo-Visma team post-race. "I've trained a lot and hard lately, but now it's time to race again and gain rhythm."
The stage was eventually won by UAE Team Emirates' Juan Sebastian Molano with Roglic's Jumbo-Visma teammate
Edoardo Affini coming home in third.
