It hasn't taken Biniam Girmay too long before tasting glory during the 2024 season. In just his 8th race day of the year, the Eritrean was victorious at the Surf Coast Classic.
After four top-10 finishes at the Tour Down Under without managing to take the win, the Intermarché - Wanty man outsprinted Elia Viviani and Corbin Strong among others at the Surf Coast Classic.
"Thanks to my team, I secured our first victory of 2024 and win for the third season in a row in January," reflected Girmay post-race. "It's important for the confidence."
