“It will be difficult” - SD Worx - Protime's Erwin Janssen discusses whether Demi Vollering will ride for the team in 2025 after €1 million offer

In the women’s peloton, Demi Vollering is currently the best rider in the world riding for the best team in the world at Team SD Worx - Protime, but with her contract expiring at the end of the season, there are doubts over whether she will continue to ride for the Dutch team in 2025.
In an interview with Het Nieuwsblad, SD Worx - Protime general manager Erwin Janssen said “if you ask me what the chances are that Demi Vollering will still ride with us next season, I will answer that it will be difficult”.

With the likes of Lotte Kopecky and Lorena Wiebes already signed to the team for 2025, many have questioned whether Vollering would want to be on a team with so many big names. We have already seen tensions rise in the past, with Kopecky and Vollering’s frosty exchange at the finish of last year’s Strade Bianche still in recent memory for many cycling fans.
If Vollering does not decide to extend with the team for next year, then there will be many lucrative offers on the table for the reigning Tour de France Femmes champion, as UAE Team ADQ have already expressed their interest in signing the Dutch rider, with a rumoured offer of one million euros per year.
