We may only be in the early stages of 2024, with many of the biggest names in the sport yet to begin their campaigns. But who has started the season the best?
Cycling Statistics (@StatsOnCycling) have crunched the numbers and analysed the data from the first few weeks of the 2024 season and INEOS Grenadiers' Jhonatan Narváez leads the way as the rider with the most top-10 placing so far this year. Included in that run are victories at the Down Under Classic and the Ecuadorian National Championships as well as a second-placed overall finish at the Tour Down Under.
Also impressing already this year are the likes of Aleksandr Vlasov, Bryan Coquard and Laurence Pithie, each with 6 top-10 finishes. Alberto Bettiol, Biniam Girmay, Brandon McNulty, Jenno Berckmoes, Mads Pedersen and Max Kanter have all finished in the top-10 on five occasions.
As more and more of the big names get their respective seasons underway, the list of 'Most top-10s in 2024' will no doubt fluctuate a lot in the coming months but regardless of that fact, it's still a very impressive start to the campaign for Narvaez.
