"I’m not a sprinter but I try to do my job well" - Filippo Ganna cools talk of bunch sprint success at La Vuelta

Not just an incredibly talented time-trialist, Filippo Ganna is now threatening to challenge the likes of Kaden Groves and Alberto Dainese in the bunch sprint, touted as one of the favourites to win stage 7 of the Vuelta a Espana.

The Italian himself however, isn't so sure, instead the INEOS Grenadiers powerhouse is keen to cool talk of becoming a sprint star. "I’m not a sprinter but I try to do my job well so when it’s the moment to switch something, I switch," he explains. "For sure, a victory is nice but we have 2 leaders to take care of so in the end we will see if G gives me the white paper like two days ago and we try."
