The 2023 edition of the final monument of the year,
Il Lombardia has revealed the route of the race where it will repeat the same course from back in 2021 when
Tadej Pogacar beat Fausto Masnada in a two-up sprint to the line.
Starting in Como, the race will travel to places such as Madonna del Ghisallo, Lake Como and climbs of the Roncola (9.4 km at 6.6%), the Berbenno (6.9 km at 5%), the Crocetta (11.6 km at 5.8% ) the Zambla Alta (9.8 km at 3.3%), the Passo di Ganda (9.3 km at 7.1%) and the Colle Aperto (1.3 km at 7%) before finishing in Bergamo.
Last year Tadej Pogacar was also victorious when the race finished in Como. Will the Slovenian be able to complete a historic hat trick? We don't have long to find out as Il Lombardia takes place on the 7th of October.
