"I see Luxembourg as a key race in the build-up" - In-form Marc Hirschi takes on final World Championship preparation with growing confidence

Is there any rider in better form at the moment than UAE Team Emirates' Marc Hirschi? With five wins in his last five race days, the 26-year-old heads to the 2024 Tour de Luxembourg understandably full of confidence.

“I’m really enjoying my racing in this period," Hirschi is quoted as saying in a Tour de Luxembourg preview on the official website of the UAE Team Emirates after victories at the Clasica San Sebastian, the Bretagne Classic, GP Industria & Artigianato, Coppa Sabatini and Memorial Marco Pantani in succession over the last few weeks. "And the good results have been coming which makes everything flow a bit more."

In Luxembourg, Hirschi makes the final step in his preparation for the 2024 World Championships in Zurich, where the UAE Team Emirates star will enter his home championships as one of the in-form favourites to take a sensational Rainbow Jersey win. As such, a positive Tour de Luxembourg will be key to keep the momentum going as the biggest event of Hirschi's remaining season looming large.

"Obviously the big goal will be the World Championships at home in Switzerland but I see Luxembourg as a key race in the build-up," Hirschi assesses. "It’s a place I have great memories from previous seasons and especially last year where I managed to win it.”
