Henok Mulubrhan of the Astana Qazaqstan team was involved in a serious crash with several other riders on today's stage of the AlUla Tour. While the teams concentrated on the last 6 remaining kilometers of the stage to get their riders into the best positions and the speed increased more and more, a heavy crash occurred in a right-hand bend in which several riders were involved.
This included Henok Mulubrhan from the Astana Qazaqstan team and the pictures immediately after the crash did not bode well. The team has since given an update on his health on their social media account on X (Twitter), in which they explain that Henok Mulubrhan suffered a left-sided collarbone fracture in the crash. Otherwise, the rider is feeling well and has no other injuries.
The stage was ultimately won by Tim Merlier from the Soudal - Quick-Step Team.
