"Happy new teeth day" - Thymen Arensman's road to recovery takes another step

Thymen Arensman's time at the Vuelta a Espana was brought to a premature end earlier this week after a horrific crash saw him leave the race in an ambulance.

Thankfully for the INEOS Grenadiers rider, he was lucky and no fractures were found. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old was badly battered and bruised. On Monday, Arensman's long road to recovery took its first steps as he visited the dentist for some emergency dental work.

"Happy new teeth day," Arensman writes on his Instagram story alongside a picture of the smiling Dutchman. "Thanks to the dentist for the quick fix!"

"Feeling slowly a bit better, still no bike a while," he continues. "Getting monitored great by the INEOS Grenadiers and will take my time to recover to full health."
