Gerben Thijssen has taken victory at Trofeo Palma, with Alexander Kristoff and Marijn van den Berg completing the podium.
After the day's breakaway were finally caught with around 18km to go, a sprint finish looked assured. With two lap still to go however, a BORA - hansgrohe rider hilariously crossed the line arms aloft, thinking he'd won.
Nevertheless, a sprint finish was the deciding factor and in the end, the race was won by Gerben Thijssen of Intermarche - Wanty.
