GCN+ broadcasting and GCN App come to a close at the end of 2023

Heartbreaking news for fans of pro cycling. On the 19th of December 2023 the GCN+ broadcasts, and the GCN app, will come to a close after several years as a benchmark for viewers of the sport. 

The news were announced this morning and came as a shock to many fans, journalists and alike. The Global Cycling Network channels will continue as usual, however the video streaming app will end in the upcoming month. It remains to be seen what led to this sudden decision, and how it can influence fellow platforms Eurosport Player and Discovery+.
