GC update Vuelta a Espana 2025 stage 11 - Vingegaard increases lead; Pidcock attacks Almeida's second place

There were no bonifications and times were taken with 3 kilometers to go, but after several hours the Vuelta a Espana organizers have issued the official stage results. Stage 11 in the Basque Country provided a lot of drama, but despite the neutralization there was still GC action and gaps created en route to Bilbao.

Jonas Vingegaard and Tom Pidcock moved up the Alto de Pike at an incredible speed and collaborated in the final descent to Bilbao to stabilize the small advantage over the group of João Almeida. Although they are not massive, the duo managed to gain 10 seconds on the Portuguese. Almeida is now 50 seconds away from the red jersey whilst Pidcock is 56, both climbing the position of Torstein Traeen. Pidcock has reinforced his position on the podium and has 1:21 minutes over fifth place Felix Gall.

Gall leads the second section of favourites, having a small gap over Matteo Jorgenson, Jai Hindley, Giulio Ciccone and Giulio Pellizzarri who are all separated by a mere 27 seconds after 12 stages. Matthew Riccitello completes the Top10 currently, 12 seconds ahead of Egan Bernal. William Junior Lecerf, Sepp Kuss, Harold Martín López and Bruno Armirail currently occupy the remaining positions in the Top15.
