The
Giro d'Italia 2025 is coming to it's conclusion. The overall classification will be decided this Saturday, with stage 20, and
Isaac del Toro is on the brink of glory. The Mexican crossed the finish line 2nd on stage 19, to reinforce his grasp on the maglia rosa.
Actually,
Richard Carapaz will be the only rival who Del Toro will seriously have to worry about, as the Ecuadorian rider entered the finish just behind the Mexican. Both left Simon Yates out of the fight, who could not follow Carapaz's attack with 6 km to go.
Right now, this is the situation in the top 3: Isaac del Toro is 43 seconds ahead of Richard Carapaz, and 1 minute and 21 seconds ahead of Simon Yates.
Giulio Pellizzari fell just before the end of the stage, but he was able to finish without too many problems. The Italian remains 7th, ahead of Movistar Team's Einer Rubio, 8th, almost a minute behind. In front, Egan Bernal remains 6th, Damiano Caruso 5th and Derek Gee 4th.
