The 2025 season saw
INEOS Grenadiers finish the year as the eighth best team in the UCI rankings for the year, whilst being fifth in the 2023-2025 UCI rankings that decided the promotions and relegations. Overall, a poor result for a team with a budget of around €50 million a year, perhaps only surpassed by UAE Team Emirates - XRG. But amongst those who scored UCI points, who did the most?
That was
Filippo Ganna, who enjoyed a tremendously impressive spring, and scored enough points to hold off his teammates in this list. Ganna finished second at a Tirreno-Adriatico where he looked to be in the form of his life, only beaten by Juan Ayuso;
and then he also finished second at Milano-Sanremo, finishing between Mathieu van der Poel and Tadej Pogacar in the final sprint. In these two races alone, he scored over 1000 points, almost half of his 2152 which he had at the end of the year. His performances in the spring classics with a third place at the E3 Saxo Classic and eighth at the Tour of Flanders added to it; and and the stage win at the Vuelta a España was another highlight, adding 180 points to his tally.
Egan Bernal was the second best rider, perhaps a surprise. 1742 points in total, as the Colombian finished seventh at the Giro d'Italia as his biggest contributing factor. Seventh at the Volta a Catalunya, sixth at the Vuelta a Burgos, eighth at Il Lombardia, fourth at the Giro dell'Emilia and his stage win at the Vuelta a España were his other main sources of points during 2025.
In third place was
Thymen Arensman, unsurprisingly due to the strong season he had. The absolute highlight of course were his two wins at the Tour de France, each being worth 210 UCI points. But the Dutchman did achieve other strong results throughout the year including a third place at Paris-Nice and second at the Tour of the Alps; as well as a fourth place at the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana and 12th at the Tour de France which contributed significantly towards his tally.
The points Filippo Ganna scored at Milano-Sanremo were enough to help him top his teammates in the charts this year. @Sirotti
Behind there is a big difference to all other riders, with those remaining in the Top10 being Magnus Sheffield, Samuel Watson, Axel Laurance, Ben Turner, Joshua Tarling, Victor Langellotti and Carlos Rodríguez. Salvatore Puccio and Omar Fraile, dedicated domestiques, have not scored any UCI points this year, the final of both veterans' careers.
