After surviving a stage 3 crash with his overall race lead at the
Itzulia Basque Country intact,
Primoz Roglic hit the deck again on stage 4, in a mass crash that ended his race and left rivals such as
Jonas Vingegaard and
Remco Evenepoel in hospital.
Thankfully, for Roglic, it was in the back of his team car that the
BORA - hansgrohe leader left the race rather than in the back of ambulance as many caught up in the crash had to do. On Wednesday night, BORA revealed in an update that the Slovenian had thankfully managed to escape without any fractures and now, sports director, Patxi Villa has elaborated further.
