Confirmed in his status as leader this winter after a remarkable season, Felix Gall extended his contract with Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale for an additional year until 2026, on the eve of Paris-Nice, where the Austrian will undergo first test against other GC riders.
"I have the confidence of the team. I already had it last year but now it's more... As if there was no longer any doubt," Gall expressed in press release.
Revealing himself as one of the world's best climbers last year on the Tour de Suisse and then with 8th overall at the Tour de France, the 26-year-old Austrian signed a new contract until 2026.
"We have big plans together," says the climber who already wants to show off this week in the 'race to the sun', a very important event for the team. "We will see to what extent the cancellation of the Ruta del Sol has affected my form but I want to perform well, it is sure that it is not just a preparation race.
