The Challenge Mallorca marks the start of the European cycling season with five consecutive days of competition, giving riders the opportunity to test their mettle in a series of separate trophies.

As usual, these races, which take place in the Balearic Islands, are contested as UCI 1.1 races, with separate lineups each day, and Movistar Team calls up more than a dozen riders, but only seven compete on each day.

The competition kicks off with the Trofeo Calvià on January 24, a 150.1 km race that features five scoring climbs and will set the tone for the intense week of cycling in the mountains of the northwest of the island. On Thursday 25, the Trofeo Ses Salines - Felanitx offers a clear opportunity for sprinters, with a distance of 181.2 km.

On Friday 26th, the focus is on the mountains with the Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana, a challenging 153.8 km race that includes the long slope of Puig Major (1st category) and the Coll de Sóller (2nd category). On Saturday 27th, the Trofeo Pollença - Port d'Andratx presents a 158.4 km route with chained summits and steep climbs until the finish line.

The week culminates with excitement on Palma's Paseo Marítimo on Sunday 28, with the Trofeo Palma, another outstanding opportunity for sprinters in a 150 km race.
