Egan Bernal has a clear goal for 2024: he wants to win the Vuelta a España

Egan Bernal has been one of the cyclists who has raced the most days in 2024. The talented Colombian was on the verge of dying in 2022 after a serious accident and this recently completed campaign has shown that he has a lot of energy left in him.

Despite not having an easy year, he managed to complete the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España and next year he is clear that he wants to test himself and see if he can fight for big wins again.

So, with the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France already in his palmares, his goal for next year will be the Vuelta a España. As of today, neither he nor INEOS Grenadiers know if he will have the level to fight to win the overall, a stage or to be a support rider like this year. But what they do know for sure is that they will try.

Thus, in the podcast 'Táchalo, Bernal has made it clear that his goal next year is the red in Madrid: "My next goal is the Vuelta". He is looking for the triple crown, winning the three majors, something that to date only 7 cyclists have achieved: Jacques Anquetil, Felice Gimondi, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault, Alberto Contador, Vincenzo Nibali and Chris Froome.
