Trek - Segafredo's success this week has been prolonged, as their young talent
Antonio Tiberi rode to his first pro win on the Gyöngyös-Kékestető ascent, whilst INEOS Grenadiers'
Eddie Dunbar was crowned the winner of the
Tour de Hongrie.
The final 11 kilometer long climb was set to decide the overall classification of the race and that has been the outcome. INEOS Grenadiers set an attacks for Eddie Dunbar, which has came with two kilometers to go. The Irish rider seemed prepared to go for the stage win, but the Italian Tiberi came into sight in the final few hundred meters, brought Dunbar back in and had the legs to beat him in the final sprint.
However with the time losses he sustained throughout the race he was unable to be in contention for the GC. Oscar Rodríguez finished third on the stage, and second in the GC behind Eddie Dunbar who's taken his second stage-race win of the season. Samuele Battistella finished third in the overall classification.
