Another explosive sprint finish in
Tour of Oman, this time more flat and more suited to the sprinter puncheurs.
Diego Ulissi won the stage 4 of Tour of Oman, the Team UAE Emirates rider followed the Cofidis Team leadout train very well to secure a sprint win in a very disputed sprint finish.
Under23 World Champion Yevgeniy Fedorov (Astana Qazaqstan) and 3 other riders escaped the peloton early one forming the breakaway being caught around 11 km to the finish. In the Al Jissah climb (3.2 km at 5.4%) Maxim Van Gils launched a powerful attack counter by Alexey Lutsenko that made an elite group of 4 riders with race leader Matteo Jorgenson and second overall Mauri Vansevenant. But they were caught by the peloton and Pascal Ackermann launched a surprising solo attack.
