The
Andorra Morabanc Clàssica has it's first edition this Sunday afternoon but, despite being placed in the middle of summer by it's organizers, the race is still being significantly cut due to the bad weather emerging in the Pyrenees.
The distance of the race will be reduced from 145 km to 114.7 km. The finish will also be one hour earlier as a result. In the new official route, the gravel section of Engolasters and the ascent to the Coll de Beixalis have been eliminated. Therefore, after passing the Coll de la Comella, the race will reach the final ascent to the Coll de la Botella.
At the startline will be strong climbers (some of them actively preparing for the Tour de France) such as Enric Mas, Mattias Skjelmose, Tom Pidcock, and Giro d'Italia stage winner Carlos Verona.
