As the days go by it seems more and more likely that Demi Vollering will soon be racing in the colours of FDJ - Suez. According to the latest reports, Specialized are set to follow the Tour de France Femmes winner also.
With this latest report coming from renowned and well-respected La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist, Ciro Scognamiglio, Vollering's transfer is all but officially confirmed. "Demi Vollering, current Tour de France Femmes champion to FDJ - Suez for at least 2025-2026 can be considered almost a done deal," he reveals. "And Specialized, as already reported in Netherlands, will follow her, giving bikes to the french team for next seasons."
Vollering herself has been coy on her future when quizzed by journalists. However, the Dutch National Champion did recently say "I know every one keeps asking me about my future, but I will not tell my story now, I will tell you when I am ready for it," hinting that rumours of friction within the Team SD Worx - Protime roster may well be true.
The 27-year-old is currently competing against FDJ - Suez for Team SD Worx - Protime at the first Grand Tour of 2024, La Vuelta Femenina, attempting to improve on her second-placed finish overall at last year's edition.
