In an exciting twist for the third edition of the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior, Carlos Rodríguez, the young promise of Spanish cycling, will lead the INEOS Grenadiers team in this Andalusian race.

Rodríguez's participation adds to the already outstanding list of names confirmed for the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior, including Juan Ayuso of UAE Team Emirates, the talented Sepp Kuss and Wout van Aert of Team Visma - Lease a Bike team.

Carlos Rodríguez, born in 2001 in Almuñécar, has stood out as one of the brightest young promises both nationally and internationally. His meteoric rise to the professional ranks with the Ineos Grenadiers team after an outstanding youth stage is testimony to his exceptional talent. Rodriguez has spent four seasons in the ranks of the British team, establishing himself as one of the most promising cyclists.

The highlight of his career to date was his outstanding performance in last summer's Tour de France. In that edition, the talented cyclist scored an impressive stage victory in Morzine, where he dazzled with a memorable descent of the Joux Plane, outclassing the likes of Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard. His fifth overall in the Tour de France catapulted him into the role of undisputed leader in the Ineos Grenadiers.

The Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior will mark Rodríguez's debut in the 2024 season, and the young man from Granada does not skimp when praising the uniqueness of the Andalusian race. The route between the World Heritage Cities of Úbeda and Baeza, known as the Caminos de Olivos, promises unique challenges and breathtaking scenery.

Pascual Momparler, head of Momparler Cycling and organizer of the event, expressed his honor and enthusiasm for the presence of Rodríguez at the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior. He emphasized that the participation of world-renowned cyclists, such as Rodríguez, strengthens the international status of the race and underlines its unique appeal as a cycling event.
