O Gran Camiño is continuously gaining on popularity even among the biggest names and teams of the cycling world. The key contribution in this has that the two-time Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard chose the Spanish stage race as his season start for second season in a row.
Two of INEOS Grenadiers' key youngsters - Carlos Rodríguez and Joshua Tarling, will make their appearance in Spain. For Rodríguez it is a stage racing debut and it's immediately an opportunity to test his legs against Vingegaard, his big opponent in the chase of Tour de France title.
The European ITT champion Tarling will be the big favourite to take down the opening time trial. His greatest rival will probably come from his own team's ranks as Ethan Hayter is another powerful rider against the clock.
