Caleb Ewan is confident about Baloise Belgium Tour: "Just like in every race, I'm at the start to win"

Baloise Belgium Tour is set to start this Wednesday and since the race offers more than enough opportunities for sprinters, even some of the top sprinters will make their appearance on Belgian roads. One of them is Caleb Ewan who is hoping to get into a good mood ahead of Tour de France in July.

"Just like in every race, I'm at the start to win. That won't be any different in the Baloise Belgium Tour, but maybe it's even more important now to take a victory," Ewan states confidentally in a press release by Lotto Dstny.

"I haven't won very often this season and with a view to the Tour, a win would give me some extra confidence. In addition, the Baloise Belgium Tour is the ideal opportunity to fine-tune the lead-out one last time prior to the Tour. A stage win is of course the goal and especially as a sprinter, victories provide extra confidence."

A win is important, but certainly not an obsession for Ewan. "If I can't win, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. I feel very good at the moment, but a victory would only provide confirmation," concludes the fast man.
