Breaking: Snowstorm cancels Gran Camino's stage 1

Stage 1 of Gran Camino had forecast of bad weather, but things have gone quite extreme. The stage has been cancelled due to a heavy snowstorm.

Inside the final 25 kilometers snow began falling down on the riders very hard. Initially the peloton stopped as there were no safety conditions at the time being. The three riders in the breakaway including Gianni Moscon kept racing but it was no longer possible to continue under such conditions, and eventually all riders stopped and got on vehicles. The stage will have no winner or finale into Sarria.
