Jumbo-Visma are reportedly not having Primoz Roglic in the remaining spring classics as the Slovenian seeks to recover from a knee injury that has affected him during Itzulia Basque Country.
Het Nieuwsblad has reported that Primoz Roglic will be missing on the upcoming Ardennes classics which were one of the cornerstones of his spring campaign. After had had suffered from knee pain in Itzulia, he has decided to forgo the remaining spring, in order to prevent further issues in the run-up to the Tour de France. At the end of the Basque stage-race he had said that “I had some problems in the muscle behind my knee before coming here, and it clearly didn't get better during the week. First I have to get myself right, feel good on the bike. We really have to look closely at what it is, to treat it in the best way so I don't get into more trouble."
At Flèche Wallone Tiesj Benoot and Jonas Vingegaard will be leading the team, whilst in Liège-Bastogne-Liège it is expected that Wout van Aert will be leading the Dutch team after a strong return to the peloton at Paris-Roubaix, where he has just finished second. The team's ambitions will certainly be just as high but with less cards to play.
