Breaking: Hirschi wins Tour de Hongrie, final stage neutralized

The final stage of the 2023 Tour de Hongrie has been officially neutralised due to dangerous conditions and wet roads proving too much of a risk.

According to the official Israel - Premier Tech Twitter account, "Having discussed with the race organisers and the UCI, the route was deemed too dangerous to race in these wet conditions." The Tweet goes on the reveal that "the race will start at 12:00, and will be 8 ceremonial laps of the Budapest circuit."

Due to this announcement, Marc Hirschi will be the winner of the 2023 Tour de Hongrie after managing to hold on to the overall race lead after a dramatic conclusion to the fourth stage that saw multiple attacks by the likes of INEOS Grenadiers Egan Bernal and Team DSM duo Oscar Onley and Max Poole.
