Team DSM's official Twitter account has revealed that their sprint ace, Alberto Dainese has been relegated by the race jury following stage 5 of the Giro d'Italia's chaotic finish.
The Italian sprinter had finished 4th in the bunch sprint behind eventual winner Kaden Groves although he will no longer receive any points towards the points classification. Team DSM reveal they "accept the jury's decision and once again hope those who crashed in the finale are okay."
