A Wiggins at the start of CRO Tour. The 2.1 race on Balkan will enjoy a slightly more attention thanks to the unexpected appearance of Ben Wiggins, the son of Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins. The 19-year-old will race on the behalf of Jayco AlUla as a stagiare. It's such a surprise because he has not raced for the Australian WT team so far and his traineeship wasn't previously communicated.
The young Briton has made a name for himself at last year's World Championships in Glasgow by taking a silver medal in the individual time trial. This has earned him a contract with the prominent U23 formation Hagens Berman Axeon, which has entered a close collaboration with Jayco AlUla ahead of 2024.
