This year's UAE Tour will not be very different from its previous iterations. That means that the GC will be decided in a short individual time trial, two mountain stages and possibly echelons.
Ben O'Connor is the obvious leader and biggest GC ambition for Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team. The Australian has already shown great form with big solo victory at Vuelta a Murcia last week and is expected to be one of Adam Yates' main rivals on the slopes of Jebel Hafeet.
Of course the team has more than just one ambition coming to Middle East. Rainy Tour de la Provence provided Sam Bennett with a decent preparation and now it'll be time to put his speed into practice. However the Irishman will have to rely on limited support of young Pollefliet and Bruno Armirail, who will try to score a decent result in the 12km ITT.
