Bahrain - Victorious reinforce for 2024 with signing of Torstein Traeen

Bahrain - Victorious have officially announced the capture of 28-year-old Norwegian rider, Torstein Traeen from the Uno-X Pro Cycling Team on a two-year deal.

The deal to take Traeen to Bahrain - Victorious had been much rumoured for a while but now it has been officially confirmed. “I’m very excited about joining the team and taking on the new challenges it will bring," says Traeen, who impressed at the Critérium du Dauphiné earlier this year, finishing 8th overall. "I believe the team will be a great place for me to make the needed steps in my development by learning from great people.”

As mentioned, Traeen put in an impressive performance at the Dauphine in 2023 and that alongside other positive results such as winning the King of the Mountains jersey at the 2022 Tour of the Alps and finishing in the top-10 overall at this year's edition, demonstrate the potential Traeen has to compete at the top level.

Although he did compete at his first Grand Tour in Uno-X colours earlier this year at the Tour de France, the chance to battle it out at World Tour level for the next two years will surely see the Norwegian only improve further.
