Many in the world of cycling have touted 20-year-old, Lotto-Dstny rider Arnaud De Lie for big things in the future. They aren't going to rush him though, instead taking a cautious approach and not featuring him in a Grand Tour in 2023.
One of last season's breakout stars, De Lie picked up a total of 9 victories in his first year as a professional. However with Lotto-Dstny opting to skip the 2023 Giro d'Italia and according to Het Laatste Nieuws deciding against throwing De Lie into the Tour de France or Vuelta a Espana, the Belgian will have to wait for a crack at claiming a Grand Tour victory.

With Lotto being relegated from the UCI World Tour at the end of 2022, they will skip over a number of big races including the Giro d'Italia. Instead, they will focus their efforts on the lesser races in an attempt to collect as many points as possible in the hope of reclaiming their World Tour status.
Key to Lotto-Dstny achieving their goal of a return to the top echelon of professional cycling will be Arnaud De Lie. The team will be hoping their future star will continue the fine form he showed at races such as Challenge Mallorca and the Tour de Wallonie into the 2023 season.
