With Lotto Dstny's lineup for the upcoming Volta a Catalunya now revealed, attention is drawn to stage winner at the race two years ago, Andreas Kron.
"I am really looking forward to be back at the start this year. In my first participation in ’21, I immediately won the opening stage and also this year I have the ambition to win a stage," says Kron to the teams official website. "I already marked some interesting stages. Especially the opening stage, day six and seven are really tough days with chances for the breakaway. Winning a stage at the Volta a Catalunya is both a goal in itself but also an ideal way to sharpen the shape towards the Ardennes Classics."
One man missing from the Lotto Dstny team will be Thomas de Gendt who according to the report, hasn't fully recovered from his crash at Paris-Nice.
Lotto Dstny lineup for the Volta a Catalunya:
Andreas Kron, Milan Menten, Maxim van Gils, Sylvain Moniquet, Lennert Van Eetvelt, Eduardo Sepulveda and Rüdiger Selig.
