With Remco Evenepoel announcing his schedule for the 2024 season, the four biggest contenders for Tour de France success now know where they will face off. Whilst only at the Tour itself will we see all four simultaneously, they will face each other on several occasions throughout the year in different combinations.
At Paris-Nice we will see BORA - hansgrohe's Primoz Roglic and Soudal - Quick-Step's Remco Evenepoel take to the start in search of the yellow jersey. The eight days of racing will be quite exciting as they often feature bad weather, tricky days but still very mountainous terrain. Jonas Vingegaard will race Gran Camiño and Tirreno-Adriatico, whilst Tadej Pogacar focuses on the one-day races and the Vuelta a Catalunya.
At Liège-Bastogne-Liège we should see both Tadej Pogacar and Evenepoel in action. That was already the case last spring, but the Slovenian crashed out. The two are the winners of the past three editions of La Doyenne.
Lastly, we will see Jonas Vingegaard, Primoz Roglic and Remco Evenepoel race against each other at both Itzulia Basque Country and the Criterium du Dauphiné. The latter, specially, will be a key race as the riders are almost ready for the Tour de France and will there gauge the form that they've built up.
