2024 Olympic Games force Tour de France Femmes into calendar change

The start date for the Tour de France Femmes 2024 will be different than usual as a result of the clash with the Paris Olympic games, which has forced the organisers to search for a new date which has yet to be finalised.
It was officially confirmed by Tour director Christian Prudhomme. “The riders go to the Olympics in the wake of the Tour de France, and so we have to change the date,” Prudhomme told BiciPro.
Not only has the women's edition been affected, but the men's edition of the Tour de France has also been impacted. The men's Tour will take place from June 29 to July 19, 2024, and there is speculation that the women's edition may coincide with the men's tour.
The timing of the Tour de France Femmes holds major significance for Olympic-bound riders, who need time to perform at their best, followed by adequate recovery time to get ready for the Olympic Games.

- I don’t call the writers here journalists, they are at best paid posters, no more knowledgable than many of us. I certainly don’t agree with everything they say or portray but I do understand they have to provoke to make their hitherto business model sustainable. And as it isn’t possible to discuss with them, it’s more interesting, rewarding and instructive to pick points to discuss with people willing to engage. I choose and have my own reasons for positive of negative opinions on riders and engage when someone disagrees on those, not interested in engaging on other reasons. What I agree with or don’t is pretty irrelevant though, I think you’ll agree JV gets his fair share of lifestyle criticism (also here) so why should TP be exempt?
