- Trying to outdo Primoz?
- I think you’ve not quite understood what was said and what the precise situation was. Nobody was at their workplace. They got infected there but experienced the symptoms elsewhere, most likely back home for many of them.
It’s also not very professional to “suggest” cow faeces might be the cause without confirmation from medical analysis, could be any number of reasons if we assume it was due to run-off roadspray, eg rodent faeces, decayed animals, flu viruses or agricultural treatments lime pesticides, herbicides, insecticides maybe even fertilisers. And we can’t even exclude food or deliberate poisoning or water contamination
- Regardless, he must be pretty dumb or stubborn to not see it would be in his interest to get any new arrangement approved before racing.
- I'll just leave this here for you:
Louis Vervaeke "We lost 50 seconds in five kilometres..... It’s the same as usual. As soon as they go on air, the motorbikes are there and sometimes, for me, that changes the race."
Paret-Peintre “If the organization wants Tadej Pogacar to win, that’s their choice. We have said it several times, but that’s life.”
- My pick is Tobias Lund Andresen for the Maglia Ciclamino.
I don't think he'll win in Burgas, Milano or Roma but he's great for the others. Stages 3 and 4 are harder, where he excels, and I expect the pace to be pushed on the final climb into Napoli which could mean that Milan is cooked. Stage 18 is a rough stage but I think it will be a sprint, suited to Tobias
- I know. But you should look at his record. He's one unlucky bloke who crashes for all sorts of reasons.
- There are no Kangaroos in Italy !!
- If he can stay upright.
- "So we told them to go to hospital immediately.“??? Their riders fall sick while at work for their team (nauseated as soon as they got up). And although practicalky still at the place of work the team bosses make them go to hospital themselves? Without a chaperone or other company from the team to take care of them?
- The UCI can't let him go - if they do, they'll have lost the battle they started. As a weak organisation they can't afford to lose any dispute. Patrick Lefevere complained about how Red Bull had stolen Evenepoel but the UCI were chicken; with van Schip they are just trying to show they have some authority. If UAE or Red Bull (for whatever reason) stepped in for him it'd be over
