Lawrence Naesen sets up a one-man team to focus on gravel in the future

Lawrence Naesen will no longer be a professional cyclist in 2024. The younger brother of Oliver Naesen did not receive a new contract with Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team and has now decided to focus on off-road cycling, setting up a one-man gravel team.

Naesen says he is proud of his own TEAM LAW!, as he calls it. In the coming year he will mainly compete in gravel races around the world. He cannot say much more about the project yet. "It is a work in progress," he writes.

Naesen turned professional at WB Veranclassic Aqua Protect in 2017, after which he ended up at AG2R La Mondiale after a two-year stint at Lotto Soudal. In the French team, he joined up with his brother Oliver, who, in contrary, extended his contract until the end of 2025.
